If you are currently registered as a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, you will not be able to vote as a DC Statehood Green Party member.
Washington, DC uses closed primaries, which means you must be registered with the party in order to vote in that party’s primary.
If you want to vote in the DC Statehood Green primary, you simply need to update your party registration.
The process takes less than two minutes.
Your application must be received by the Board by the 21st day before the next election.

The Important Thing To Know
In Washington, DC, primary elections are closed, meaning voters must be registered with a political party to vote in that party’s primary election.
For example:
Registered Democrats vote in the Democratic primary
Registered Republicans vote in the Republican primary
Registered DC Statehood Greens vote in the DC Statehood Green primary
Your voter registration must list DC Statehood Green as your party affiliation.
Many voters temporarily change party registration simply to participate in a specific primary election.
